Barn Conversion Great Barr

The Barn Conversion in Great Barr was a special project for us for many reasons. It allowed us to use our creativity and bring somewhat modern features to a property with elements as old as 300 years. Here, we completed a 30 square metre extension to the rear of the property, along with a full internal refurb. We installed 6 bathrooms, facilitated a new German kitchen and media wall. We took the entire downstairs back-to-brick, boarding and plastering the house. With plastered-in spotlights and recessed LED trims, our designer’s creative flair was put to good use in this project.
In this project, we also completed an entire re-plumb and rewire of the property. Installing new pipework and radiators throughout the property, we installed a Worcester Bosch boiler with an immersion heater. We completed underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, where we dug up the existing concrete floor and insulated it with Celotex PIR insulation to avoid heat-loss, which by doing so, limited heat-loss to the floor.
In the German Kitchen, we recessed the extractor-fan into the ceiling and suspended the ceiling timbers. We kept the original timber beams to maintain an original finish.
